About Untapped Potential
Untapped Potential was established in 2009 to provide care for children in foster care. Based on our focus, we started by providing mentoring programs to children in schools, Juvenile Courts, and Juvenile jails to help them overcome the trauma associated with their past experiences. As we realized the need to expand our services to serve more children while leveraging the strength of the family and community, we evolved into a state-wide DFCS (Department of Family and Children’s Service) approved agency that provides a full array of support services serving multiple counties across Georgia for children and youths between 18-21years.
As a social service organization, we provide critical support services that proactively address the needs of youths and families. Not setting asides our core values of Empathy, Compassion, and Respect, we provide physical care and health services for individuals and families. We prioritize treatment that breaks the cycle of physical, mental, and emotional abuse as well as generational system involvement by providing family-based, community-based, and residential-based services.
